Information

Only applicants residing within the Consular jurisdiction of Consulate (Hamburg, Bremen, Lower Saxony and Schleswig Holsteincan apply their visa with the Consulate General of India, Hamburg. In this regard, applicants are required to submit along with our authorized outsourced agency i.e. IGCS. The contact details of IGCS are as follows:

2.Indo German Consultancy Services is the only authorised agency to accept all visa applications on behalf of the Consulate General of India, Hamburg.

3.Your passport must have a minimum validity of six months and two blank pages at the time of submission of visa application.

4.Visa is valid from the date of issue. Acceptance of visa application and payment of visa fee does not automatically guarantee grant of a visa. Visa process may involve requisition of additional documentation/personal Interview. Visa can be rejected or validity curtailed without assigning any reason. In case of rejection of visa or restriction of validity or modification, visa fees will not be refunded.

5.Visa applications can be submitted in person, authorised representative or Post at the service provider. Please ensure that visa application is signed by the applicant, the photo pasted and the copies of necessary documents enclosed before submission. The Visa fees can be deposited with the service provider by cash or through Bank transfer. Please visit the website, www.igcsvisa.deto check the details of the service provider.

6.Fee should be deposited only after ascertaining the correct type and period of visa applicable to the purpose of travel. The duration and number of entries granted to the applicant will be solely at the discretion of Consulate. No claims and correspondences shall be entertained in this regard.

7.Applications are to be submitted along with a recent passport-size colour photograph (size 2" x 2", white background) and requisite documentation.

8.Applicants holding passports, other than German, must have a valid stay permit for at least two years in Germany for grant of Business and Employment visas. For all other visas (except Business and Employment visas), stay permit of at least one year will be required.

9.All applicants should ensure the correct details in their visas immediately on delivery/collection, and in case of discrepancies, the same should be brought to the attention of the issuing authority without delay. Failing to do so, Consulate bears no responsibility for any consequences faced later on.

10.Applicants have to fill an online application on web page: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/only after carefully going through the instructions listed on the web page.
